Jabo Marbles
JABO, Inc. began operations in 1987 and produced industrial marbles. In 1993, they purchased the machinery and name of Vitro Agate, which had recently gone out of business. Company co-founder Dave McCullough (formerly of Champion Agate) would produce several limited runs of swirls each year, marketed as "Classics." Each run was different, many fluoresce and all are unique to JABO. They are still producing some exciting runs, in particular some gorgeous JOKER ones as well as Oxblood, both containing green aventurine. Clearly Jabo's special runs are destined to become as valuable and collectible as marbles by some classic machine-made marble companies.
