German Marbles
The most common German Handmade Marbles are the German Swirls and include all those marbles cut from glass canes except for onionskins, opaque marbles, and micas. Even colored glass, mica, and Lutz marbles are simply variations of the German Swirl. However, the term is usually used to refer to marbles of clear glass that have either a latticinio core, a solid core, a divided core, or a ribbon center. Also included in this group are marbles of clear glass, which have bands or lines of decoration toward the outside of the marble but have no real core.
